2015 Sons of Korah Midwest Tour plug...

A year and a half ago, Christ the Word hosted a concert by Sons of Korah. Hearing the Psalms put to music by craftsmen is a real treat and I commend their music.

If your church is in the Midwest, think about hosting one of their concerts. They would like to do a mini-tour at the end of May into early June. Perhaps you have contacts with other churches you could share this information with? If you are interested in exploring this possibility, e-mail me and I'll put you in contact with them. I would be happy to discuss any questions you have about Sons of Korah's concert here at Christ the Word.

And if you're on the West Coast, Sons of Korah are looking to arrange bookings for April 2016.

re: flect-I: a new blog from Christ the Word's "Women of the Word"...

Back in September, the women of Christ the Word Church in Toledo, Ohio began a blog titled re: flect-I. The posts on this blog are by women who are a part of Women of the Word, a ministry of Christ the Word that serves to encourage, challenge and strengthen women with wisdom from God's Word. Here's their explanation of the blog's name:

re: flect-I is an unusual name, isn’t it?  It was created because of our desire to reflect our heavenly Father more and more as He conforms us to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.

During Lent, different Women of the Word are posting on the Names of Jesus and here's an excerpt from a recent post on Jesus, our...

Acoustic portrait of the Psalms...

Christ the Word is hosting a concert tomorrow (Thursday 10/10/13). The group is Sons of Korah - an Australian-based project band committed to putting Psalms to music for believers to actually...get this...use them.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door...and it's well worth a long drive. I received a call from a couple letting me know they're driving nearly 600 miles from Richmond, VA to come to the concert.

Here's one of the many that I love: Psalm 137.

They don't shrink back from imprecatory Psalms, either. If you're interested or have a question, please contact me (Craig): soktoledo(at)gmail(dot)com, or call 567.455.7540.
