Gotta love the Mannings...
(Tim) My son, Taylor, never liked the Patriots and each time he voiced his dislike, I'd ask him, "Why don't you like the Patriots?"
He'd respond, "I just don't," and that was it. No explanation, just the statement of fact.
Then, about three months ago, he sent me a link to this article (apologies for the pic). I read it, and since then I've been rooting for anyone playing the Pats.
So tonight, all thirty-five of us here at the Baylys were cheering for the Giants. Not just because of our dislike for the Pats, but also because Eli is Peyton's brother and Archie is their dad.
Joseph said I should write, "Justice is served, pride goeth before the fall."
I'm sorry for Pats fans. But think of the moment Eli, Peyton, and Archie see each other tonight.
Terry Bradshaw said it was the greatest Super Bowl he'd ever seen. He got that right.
You're a clearly a smart man. You should probably reread that article knowing that the author of it is probably the most vocal anti-Pats writer out there, and I'm sure you'll be able to see what I'm talking about.
In other news, this loss is crushing, but as a Pats fan, I know I didn't deserve for my favorite team to finish with a perfect season because of the fact that I blatantly disobeyed God, and made the Patriots #1 in my life for the past four or five months. I'm not saying they lost because of me. I'm just saying that if the Pats were able to successfully seduce me for such a long time, I can't imagine what they did to every other Pats fan out there. Not saying I'm anything special either. I just know that there's people who are literally considering killing themselves right now, and I'm so thankful that God spared me from the terror of putting all of my emotional eggs in one basket, and feeling like I lost everything.

Well, Alex, you can always smile thinking of the Mannings. How sweet, eh?
And thanks for your wise words.
Lotsalove.

Sweet, sweet game. Gotta love that Manning-Tyree pass, and how neat it was to see Peyton in the press box cheering his brother on. Sweet moment for the Manning men all around.
Alex, we thought of you several times this evening, with great affection and not of a trouncing nature at all. How brave you were to stand "Pat" among all of the ribbing at the church dinner last week! Yep, you're a good egg, and we appreciate your good naturedness among all of us Colts folks.
As for tonight, if it couldn't be the Colts, at least it was another Manning at the helm. Sweet.

haha, that incident at the church dinner was one of the highlights of my life. That was one of my proudest moments as a fan, and I'm still proud to be a Patriots fan, and whenever I enter the state of Indiana, I'll walk with my head up.
I'm just glad that I said "In one week, I'll no longer have to hear the phrase 'World Champion Indianapolis Colts," and didn't add anything to that. Wayne Huck was right next to me when I said that, and he said "yeah, you'll have to hear about the Giants" or something like that.
